Problem #01: Doesn’t understand what the teacher is teaching
Choosing the right tuition centre is crucial for your child’s academic success.
Over the years, we have encountered many brilliant students whose potential for academic success were denied. Worst of all, we have seen many brilliant students’ talents untapped and underachievement in their examination results.
To begin with, there were many reasons.
One of the most common mistakes we discovered was the failure to identify challenges faced by a child when studying.
On the other hand, attending tuition centre does not guarantee the child’s success; Right Teaching Method and Right Study Method Does !!!
Here in Fun Learner’s School, we always make it a point to understand the challenges faced by students on their side of the problem before any meaningful progress can be expected.

Case Study #1: Tina* Was Attentive But Her Mind Registered Almost Nothing
Background Information:
Education Level: Primary 2
Learning Challenge: Doesn’t Understand What The Teacher is Teaching in School
Tuition Experience: None, coached by parents at home
Not a fly would have distracted Tina as her big beautiful eyes glued to the teacher. When the teacher asked if everyone understood, the Primary 2 student always yelled “Yes!”.
The issue was in the homework. The mistakes were so basic and numerous that both the parents and teachers wondered if Tina was only going through the motion in class.
At Fun Learners’ School, Tina’s teacher noticed the same problem from her responses during class discussions. To remedy her problem, the teacher simply assumed that every learner was unclear, dedicated more time at these parts. Instead of repeating, the teacher explained the concept from a different angle. This was particularly helpful to Tina, as well as the rest of the classmates. It was highly likely that every child only understood to varying degrees.
Should your child face the same issue as Tina in understanding and remembering concepts in her subjects, come let us know. We can help.
